How far ahead should I plan for retirements?

Five years before the retirement is the best time to start your initial planning. Three years before the retirement, it is not uncommon to have someone onboard and training alongside the professional if you do not have a successor working in the company already.

Can you find me (business owner) a replacement?

Yes. At Rauenhorst Company, we specialize in placing top professionals. Through the nature of our search process, consideration is given to qualifications, cultural fit, and the unique personalities of the candidate as well as the company’s team. Through this process, we guarantee the ability to find the ideal candidate to take over your ownership role and transition seamlessly into running the company you built.

What separates RRC from other recruiters?

The Rauenhorst team sits down with the key individuals at your company to learn what makes your company successful, why people stay, and how people work together. This analysis and subsequent research with an emphasis on due diligence by turning over every stone to understand your company is what sets Rauenhorst apart from other recruiting firms. Through this process, candidate retention rates are significantly higher than the average of other search firms.;

Can you conduct a search confidentially?

All searches at Rauenhorst Company are conducted confidentially (unless specifically told otherwise). This is one of the keys to our success. When a candidate does not know the client, the candidate cannot tailor their responses to questions. This gives a truer perspective into how they will fit into your company’s culture. Also, the sensitivity of many of our searches requires us to keep the client confidential until the candidate is chosen for client-interviews.

Who pays for the service? (candidate or company)

The hiring company is our client and pays the fee. Our core focus “We build teams for companies embracing exceptionalism by placing leaders who are a better fit, perform more profitably and stay longer” would be impossible to fulfill if we represented the candidates as our clients. Although we work with the candidate to be prepared, the client retaining us remains our top priority.

What do you provide that my HR Department cannot?

Through our robust database, Rauenhorst Company has the ability to find individuals that may not be actively searching for a job but are open to new professional opportunities. Rauenhorst Recruiting identifies individuals with a proven history of success that aligns with your company’s goals. We search for the missing piece in your firm’s success story, the individual who has the capability to take business to new heights. Our search process is relentless and does not stop until you have the right person in the right seat. Whether you are looking to break into a new sector or fortify your position in existing markets, the candidates we present are vetted thoroughly by our team members before you sit down to interview them.

Do you search locally or nationally?

We use our vast database and exclusive resources to perform our searches on a national scale. We search for top professionals throughout the entire United States and can even filter our results to find candidates that have ties to your firm’s location.

Do you verify candidates’ references?

Yes. Each prospective candidate in our searches is verified before being presented to a client. Thorough reference checks are conducted with former supervisors, credentials and licenses are confirmed. Verification of academic claims and criminal records may also be done at the request of the client. Finally, we do an online review of traditional and social media platforms.

How do you find candidates?

We find our candidates by utilizing advanced resources and extensive contacts within the industry. All searches are tailored around our client company’s specific needs. Each prospective candidate is evaluated against a range of factors determined for each search.

Can you find me candidates right away?

While we can hurry through steps in the recruiting process, we can never skip them. Typically, we like to work with our clients to get to know how your team works together so we can search for candidates that fit your company culture. We then begin our thorough search for professionals who meet and exceed our client’s needs. This vetting process can take time and we do not present candidates to our clients until we feel with 100% certainty that they will be an excellent match at our client’s firm.

How much does a search cost?

We are experts in retained searches. In a retained search, typically the client makes three payments as the search progresses rather than paying all at once after the hire is made. This allows us to give exclusivity and become our client’s partner in their search. We can put in more time to research and fine tune our process to ensure we are presenting our clients with the most qualified professionals to fill their open positions. Clients typically pay a percentage of the new hire’s first year W-2 (pay and estimated bonus) compensation.

How long is the process?

Retained searches are typically on a timeframe of either 30, 60, or 90 days. The length of the searches depends upon the different variables the client desires in the candidate. For example, if the company is located in an area that people are not typically drawn to, we use our resources to find individuals that may have ties to the area and would like to move there. These searches can take longer than those that are for companies in locations that are viewed as desirable to more professionals. Likewise, some professions are harder to fill than others. In today’s tight employment market contract length can be impacted.

Why should I pay for an employee?

By contracting with Rauenhorst to find a top professional for your company, you are not only paying for an employee but for the assurance that the chosen professional will be an ideal fit at your firm. Through the nature of our searches and proven track record of success, we guarantee our ability to find top candidates to join your team. If a candidate leaves within the first 90 days (for any reason) Rauenhorst will re-do the search at no additional cost to the client.
